Looking for Laser Carrying cases...

Hey Everyone at LPF,

It has been over a year and a half ago that PullBangDead posted a thread on finding soft shell cases to carry lasers in.

I didn't want to resurrect a dead thread, and I am looking for something a little bit different too...

Instead of soft shell cases that are flexable, I am looking for a hard shell case that is small and lightweight to carry around easily
(like in a backpack or just in a hand) and has a fabric exterior. I have found something that gives a good example of what I am looking for:

Case Logic Compact Portable Hard Drive Case > Hard Drive Cases > Case Logic

But I think this case will only hold three to five laser hosts.

So, if anyone has any ideas, links and pics will be greatly appreciated!!!

P.S. Also, IIRC a member on this forum has an avatar that I believe has a 'case logic' case featured in it holding lasers
(just can't remember which member it is). If anyone has any information on this case, or if that specific user would like to shed
light on his/her case, it would be welcomed.

Thanks Everyone!!! :thanks:

Dave beat me to it, but yes, Pelican has many small, nice cases, and there's always the cases that RPLs come in, I found them for <$15 from a gun supply shop, I'll see if I can find that link for you.

Especially for backpacking, the Pelicans are good. You can get them waterproof.

I don't remember if I ever posted an update to that thread, but I did find exactly what I was looking for: at an art supply store, I found a thick cloth roll-up case designed for holding paint brushes. It works perfectly, and even has multiple sizes of pockets for the brushes, so most of the pockets fit pens perfectly, and there's a larger slot for the "Aquarius"-style laser that is bigger around. Here's some pictures, it works very well for me.

Pelican and Otterboxes are my preference. Hard outside, soft inside. Is there a specific reason you are after a soft case?

Hey everyone, thanks for all the great suggestions so far!!!

Try Pelican cases

pelican cases for laptops + camera cases + shipping containers from Pelican-Case.com

Also, look at both pistol cases and make-up cases.

Thanks Daguin for mentioning the pelican cases. It seemes that is the type of case that
many forum members have and love to use. I agree that they are great cases, but not
exactly the type of case I am looking for.

And pullbangdead, thanks for mentioning the paint brush holder, that might be something I am looking for....

That's what I'd do...Just get a metal case with the foam and pre-cut it to your needs to store multiple lasers. This way you can carry around more than one, Or just get multiple small ones ;) I think the >100mw range lasers deserve a metal case however :D Show you mean business ;)

I think I remember seeing a small or medium aluminum case on Harbor Freight.

TRy a harware shop, they have those thing that PBD had, but much large, for wrenches. My dad has a roll-up thing that holds like 20 wrenches.
