Looking for Kick-Ass Host

Hey everyone.

So soon I will be getting a 445nm diode... and I have decided that I want this 445nm laser to be special in my collection - not just a C6 host, but something AMAZING.

So, here is what I need from ya'll. I have already done a lot of searching, but I haven't found anything to my satisfaction entirely yet.

The requirements for this host are as follows:
- Needs to fit one 18650 or two 16340s
- Space for a heatsink as well as a driver pill (as seen in the C6 host, something like that)
- Preferably, have an assault crown!
- Look amazing!
- Cost at most, $25

Now, it would be great if there was a flashlight whose driver outputs 1.2A of current regulated supply. Problem is, that most likely won't happen. But, if you find one whose built-in driver supplies 1.2-1.3A of current to 445nm diodes and has been vetted, etc., by all means, point me to that!

Anyway, I appreciate all the help. I am looking for a host that will be truly unique.

Thanks!

EDIT: Here are a couple that I have found that I sorta like so far....

Obviously, the top one is my favorite :p Looks coolest.

I intend for this laser to look like it will eat you alive and spit you back up. I want it to look mean. After all, it will be a burner (1.2W of power, anyone?).

Yeah. Anyone know of any other unique hosts though that haven't been really used much here, or just look plain awesome? I want to purchase before I go away to Canada/Alaska (leaving Sunday morning), so I need to decide what I want so it can be here when I get home!

EDIT: Looks like the top one is a drop-in pill, meaning it doesn't necessarily have a pill that separates from the light....

Why do you say that the last one may fit it better? I like the second one - it's single-mode, 1000mA output current.

Unfortunately, though, these are all drop-in hosts -.-

Oh, true. Do we know if this unit has been successfully used before? What's it's pill size, etc., if you know?

I don't know lol. I just searched DX and let you know about a host that fits your requirements :p

This is the driver pill for that light: (from DX forums)

If you really want a kick ass host.. You should start with one of these. :D

But seriously.. If you want something unique, you really have to build your own host. Pretty much anything converted flashlight based has already been done... even if it hasn't been advertised or floated to the surface yet.

Yeah, I am thinking of commissioning Eud to build me a host... but then again, regarding the uniqueness of a host... I guess I am just looking for something that isn't the C6 or something *common*. I don't really care if it hasn't been used before or not, I just want a cool-ass laser.

I think 'amazing' is subjective heh. To me, the gold makes it look kind of gaudy looking.

That's sort of the point :p I want this beast to be the King of my collection, and what else to put it in besides something that is scepter-like? I'm going to put all the bells and whistles on this one... we'll see how it turns out.
