Anyone know of a good place to buy battery contact springs that are easy to solder to?

I was looking for these too. There is a thread like this on LPF somewhere. But it pretty much confirms they are hard to find. When I was ordering from rayfoss, I noticed they sell them together with their blu-ray drivers, so I asked Faona for just springs and she included a few for free. So you can contact them... Or if you need a large quantity, then googling for "battery contact spring" will give you many options.

well digikey has some but I well wait to see if anyone else replies before I order. the oher two sites did not have any but i did find this. looks cool.

fast and cheap?

4 "AA" Battery Holder from radio shack
Model: 270-391
cut apart it yields 2 springs with tails and 2 without at less than $.50 per spring.

i now use springs from pens...but your builds need the real things im guessing..

The springs from digi key are a little to heavy to attach to the driver.
