Longer lasting batteries?

Hello,

I currently have a Green <1mW laser pointer and I enjoy using it for lots of things. A problem I am facing is that the batteries run out very quickly (they last for about a day using my laser on and off every now and then) and it cost about $10 to get new ones...everyday. I don't want to be spending that much money every time it runs out! It's not worth it..

My laser uses three LR44 cell batteries (1.5v each) and each battery cost about $3. Is there any modification I can do to my laser to increase the usage? Even using completely different batteries that don't even fit inside the case will be good enough...as long as the batteries don't run out too fast!

My laser Specifications are as follow:

Batteries:
3x LR44 cell (1.5v)
Output mode: Constant Wave
Laser wave length: 532nm
Output power: <1mW

Thank you! :)
