Total copy-paste of the WL's website. Here's a piece of source code from that site that was commented out (drawn in green):
<!--<div class="bar"><p>Community</p></div> <div class="community"> <div style="height:55px;"> <div style="border:none; overflow:hidden; width:110px;;height:39px;padding:16px 0 0 0; margin: 0 auto;cursor:pointer;" onclick="window.location='http://www.facebook.com/wickedlasers'"> <iframe src="http://www.facebook.com/plugins/like.php?href=http%3A%2F%2Ffacebook.com/wickedlasers&layout=button_count&show_faces=false&width=120&action=like&colorscheme=light&height=20&bgcolor=transparent" allowtransparency="true" style="margin:0px;height:22px;text-align:center;background-color: transparent;" scrolling="no" frameborder="0"></iframe> </div> </div> <div style="height:55px;text-align:center;"> <div style="width:150px;padding:8px 0 0 5px;background-color:transparent;font-size:10px">Follow us on<br/> <a href="http://www.twitter.com/wickedlasers"><img src="http://twitter-badges.s3.amazonaws.com/twitter-c.png" alt="Follow wickedlasers on Twitter"/></a> </div> </div> <div style="height:55px;text-align:center;"> <div style="width:70px;padding:15px 0 0 5px;margin:0 auto;"> <script type="text/javascript" src="https://apis.google.com/js/plusone.js"></script> <g:plusone href="http://www.wickedlasers.com"></g:plusone> </div> </div>
So yeah, total scam.

I smell WL....anyone who wants to scam and who has done their homework on lasers will know WL is a losing bet and they can get many more people by making a better website. They must be hurting....bet word is finally getting around about the scams.

^ That's what I was wondering. Whoever owns the domain must have gotten it awhile ago... right?

Either way, I'm sure the proprietor of that website will do quite well just for having such a great web address.

I am very curious if this is a scammer or not. I honestly don't think it is because all the contact info is the same and leads to WL so I think this is just WL trying to sell to the morons who would enter laserpointers.com into there address bar and then piss there paints when they see the cool looking lasers derp

They're both the same registrar (godaddy) and hosting (linode). There are more sites which are owned and run by wicked lasers, such as techlasers.com, thinklasers.com, wickedlaser.co.uk.

An interesting side note, is that there is one other website sharing that ip address, and it is amynaturecentre.com. What does a Chinese masseuse in New York City have to do with Wicked Lasers? I don't know, however, that part of New York City has hundreds of times as many laser cosmetology clinics as surrounding regions, with Amy Nature Center right in the middle of it. Check this out on Google Maps!

I did a little more digging, and many of the laser clinics have been reported as scams, while others have terrible reviews due to patients being burned severely during the laser treatment. Now, I know this sounds completely paranoid, but do you think the factory or company that makes Wicked Lasers is also selling medical lasers? Are they doing it illegally? Makes you wonder!

Edit: More evidence! At the bottom of the contact page for amynaturecentre is an an email address for technical questions, Pilypala@gmail.com He's a 30-year old Chinese programmer living in New York City. Now, go to this site and read: forums.seochat.com. Pilypala is the web programmer for Wicked Lasers too!!! I found his ebay account, and most of the things he sells are Chinese electronics, but he's sold a few Wicked Lasers himself.

I started this research tonight because I was bored and wanted something fun to do, but now it's starting to feel a little creepy...

Wow, impressive detective work. Have some rep for your diligence. Now figure out how George Lucas ties into all of this. :)
