The other day I went into my old tech school to check in with the photonics lab. The young receptionist recognized me right away~ blushed and asked if I had been behaving myself. "Of course" I replied.
She said the lab got shut down due to lack of funding. So I emailed the necessary people to find out all the equipment was in storage with no plans.
After that, I contacted the person who used to run the program and He said the school was willing to part with all this stuff. However, schools don't typically sell to the public but I happen to have a friend in a different school district and is the chairman of their science department. he could acquire this stuff for almost nothing and it would go to a good cause: educating young people.
The inventory I am not sure of, from what I remember there was extensive laser equipment, photovoltaics, meters, prisms etc. they sparred no expensive buying all this stuff years ago. I am still finding out the details but soon I'll have full access to this stuff.
Cheers
