Damnit. As if the pets weren't bad enough. Now we're going to have to start feeding and watering our lasers as well. :p

I can see it now. You go on vacation and come back and find your laser dead. heh.

Hehehe.... won't be long now, WORLD DOMINATION with the help of my fluffy friends!

(EDIT: I have to state that I am AGAINST animal experimentation, if it serves no purpose, and /or imposes agony, pain, and discomfort).

Crazy.
In this story: -link- they say this for the cell-laser: 'The width of the laser beam is "tiny" and "fairly weak" in its brightness compared to traditional lasers'
Um,... Laser "beam". I wonder what lens they used to focus the light at that scale and how many μW did it put out?
