Hey all,

havent been able to find much details on this drive.

I got this brand new and sealed for nothing, and was wondering if it is any good to make a red burner out of.

Even though it was free, I dont wanna waste it :p

Cheers

Dave.

Edit - Rather then make a new post, ill update here.

This is a total new sled to me, mainly use phrs and 16x drives. I havent been able to find similar pics of this sled.

Any one have a idea of the extraction method. Its appears also, that both diodes use one big heaksink, makes it fun.

Some pics, sorry bad camera.

Re: LG GH20NS10 20x - Any good?

I think I have read that there is an open can diode in the LG drives! But I'm not sure...
Someone got a weird flat diode from a sony drive. It was still powerful except it was harder to use. :-/

The LG 20X should have a long open can in it.

Peace,

I'm guessing about everyone is now using them - I got a Lite-On off Newegg recently, and it had a LOC in it. Unfortunately, I don't own a Dremel :(.

well, it has a nice open can diode. Running nice at 420mA with a rckstr driver. Burns very quick, no need for the sharpie.
