I love Mythbusters. I don't see what they do wrong. Sure they do some unsafe things sometimes, but is it really all that bad? If they want to be stupid with hard to acquire materials, let them. It's only things like pointing lasers at people's eyes that bothers me even a little, but their awesomeness makes it all okay.

Did you guys see the "compact compact" part 2? The rocket impact slowed down at the end was CRAZY! I swear, that car vaporized!

If you were a chemist, you'd probably not even think about the lasers and be more worried about them playing unsafely with metals, it all depends on what you know about. Some people love mountain climbing, I wouldn't even consider it :p

I have that episode, it's pretty crazy!

Hydrogen tanks contain to air, so there is no risk of the flame shooting back into the cylinder and exploding it. You can still get very nasty burns from any leak that gets set on fire though, especially since the flame is hardly visible.

Hydrogen won't burn without oxygen and there isn't any inside that tank...

If the tanks filled up with nothing but hydrogen then i don't think it would be
possible for it to blow up. Do the take out the air before they fill them up?
