Hey there, laser people.

Laserglow Technologies would like to announce two NEW exciting developments: Our Guinness World Record for the World’s Most Powerful Handheld Laser and the addition of our freshly developed GlowMount universal tripod adaptors and X10DR beam expanders to our product line-up.

The new record for the world’s most powerful handheld laser was set by our Hercules Series laser at Guinness World Records’ facilities in London, England on November, 22, 2007. The Hercules, unmatched in power, has always been the rightful holder of this title and we’re excited to have the awesome power of our Hercules laser written into the history books. We will be appearing in the 2009 edition of the Book in the Science and Technology section. The official certificate for the Record now hangs proudly on the wall of our offices here in Toronto!

Also, we're pleased to announce that, after a lot of quiet planning and designing, we have some truly incredible and exciting accessories for our lasers that you won't find anywhere else!

For the Hercules, Aries and Galileo series lasers: Laserglow now offers "GlowMount" tripod adaptors which enable you to easily and securely mount your laser to ANY standard camera tripod. See: http://www.laserglow.com/index.php?glowmount

And for the Hercules and Aries series: We are pleased to introduce the first beam expander ever designed specifically for a handheld laser! The X10DR (pronounced "extender") is a 10x beam expander with adjustable focus, reducing the divergence of your Aries or Hercules by 10 TIMES and enabling you to focus the beam to a smaller spot, and at a longer range, than ever before! In our intial tests the X10DR enabled a Hercules-300 to light a match from over 60 feet away! For more infomation please see: http://www.laserglow.com/index.php?x10dr

We've also expanded our selection of safety goggles and made them easier to find and purchase. Just look under the new "Accessories" section of our website for all of the new gadgets and goodies from Laserglow.

If you have any questions, you know who to call!

Hey Justin

Nice new bits. I noticed that your home page graphic prices the 10x extenders at $289, but the item description in the Accessories section prices them at $439. Is the $289 a limited time introductory price?

Cheers, CC

Look again, the normal prize is 439 bucks, but for people who already have an Aries or a Hercules, it's only 289 bucks.

Ah, I see...

I find the home page graphic a bit misleading then... not intentionally, I'm sure. (See attached)

It would then make sense for them to give you the lower price if you buy one with a Hercules, right?

It sure might make people consider their product over another vendor's.

Go to the home page, it's above the range extender's graphic.

EDIT: nvm, if you click on the world record's graphic, it leads you to the hercules, but if you click the graphic for the range extender, the laser news show up, one for the extender, and one for the record.

hmm i wonder if ur entitled to the discount price of $289 by owning an orion, or does it strictly have to be an aries or herc?
Justin told me about these new accessories few months back, im glad they made the market.

Hey guys, to clarify:

The price for the X10DR is $289 for anyone who already owns a Hercules or Aries, or if you are purchasing them at the same time. There is a field in the order page for the X10DR where you can enter the date of purchase for your laser so we can verify it. The price if you do not own an Aries or Herc is $439, which is still well below the market price for this kind of optic.

We basically decided to sell the accessory for a great price, and to discount the pricing even more (near cost, and at very low profit) for our own customers, as an added bonus for buying a genuine Laserglow laser. We think that this accessory is so awesome that everyone who owns one of our lasers should be able to get one without having the price be too much of a factor. It really extends the range of your laser by 10 times!

CC: I'll take into consideration that the pricing on the main page may be a little misleading if you're not an existing Laserglow customer. I'm having our graphics designer change the text to read "From $289" which is more accurate from our customers' viewpoint. Thanks for pointing this out.

Thank God!!! ::) One less thing WL can brag about.Where can we read more about this?

I have to say that the x10dr is amazing! 2500W/cm[sup]2[/sup]?? So you can get about 6kW/cm[sup]2[/sup] with that record setting laser...Wow! That's some serious burning power.I can't wait for some videos to show up, cause I probably won't be able to purchase your awesome products for a long time :(

No problem Justin, these things always happen when you're rolling out new product. I meant it purely as constructive criticism of course!

That price for current owners is very good for this optic. It's good news that you're extending it to those that buy a compatible laser as well, I think that's going to be a good sales tactic for you.

Aaah... I NEED that Aries 200. And of course the X10DR.
Well, looks like I really need to start saving.

I'd also like to know if there is any more information available on the World Record (that rightfully belonged here in the first place).

On Friday, after the office closed, we took a Hercules-300 and an X10DR out into the hallway for some experimenting. (We have a very long hallway here.) With very little preparation we were able to light an unsharpied match from 25 meters away. That's over 80 feet, and it took less than 2 seconds of exposure to light! I've never seen anything like this before, and it's going to be interesting to see the original ways that our customers find to use this device. We'll get a video posted as soon as we have the time, but we've already sold a few X10DRs to forum people so maybe someone will beat us to it!

Hi Justin

How about posting a photo of the certificate on your website? Good to see Laserglow get this well-deserved recognition.

Congratulations on the world record. You guys deserve it far more than Wickedlasers does.
