I have always thought of myself as a decisive person, able to make decisions in the blink of an eye. However, there are times, when I am not so decisive. Ever go to a restaurant and look over the menu and just can't make up your mind?

So, I buy a host that looks really neat. What diode should I put in it? Even after narrowing the field in consideration of power and heat sinking, there are so many diodes to choose from as well as some less common ones not sold by DTR.

It is said that if you find a need and are able to fill it, you might make a fortune. What I have designed for you may not make me a fortune, but for the laser diode decision challenged it might prove helpful.

I give you the Laser Wavelength Picker for the Decision Challenged: :eg:

Just Click Here: LWPFDC

(NB: FYI, I used programs to convert wavelength to color then the color to their hex code to make the wheel.)

If this does not help, your mood gets worse, anti-depressants prove of no use, there is always this:

Russian Roulette Please make sure your life insurance policy is up to date prior to use.

If a more certain method of dispatch is required a Suicide Method may be chosen: Suicide Method

Suicide Cleanup:eek:

Addendum: I was awakened this evening by forces unknown leading me to read an email from Suicide Cleanup advising me that there has been a sudden rash of suicides following increased Russian Roulette activity traced to members of a certain Forum involved with lasers. Psychological autopsies were conducted leading to the conclusion that the suicides resulted over despondence that the decedent's favorite wavelength was not included in the decision wheel. While the company appreciates the increased income, (I have not received any kickback,) the increased publicity is not welcome. So, to prevent any further need for their expertise, I am asking any Forum member who is despondent over the fact that his (or her) wavelength was not included on the wheel, advise me of same via a PM and said frequency will be added to the wheel forthwith.

Hi,
Pretty cool like the wheel but i really don't think i would use it to choose a diode for a build.
But anyway its fun to mess with..

I certainly hope everyone understands that this is just a reflection of my, perhaps, strange sense of humor.

Well I am impressed. I am still alive per the one wheel & the other wheel picked my second favorite WL.
You are from NYC & are now near DC so that explains everything ... LOL ... JK :D

Also, what happened to 473nm? No love for that wavelength anymore?[/QUOTE]

What do you mean "what happened to 473?"
