hi summer is coming and i heard that overheating a PGL under operation will cause damage to the laser... but what happens if the laser is kept in hot areas (like inside a car or garage) without operation? will the temp affect crystal components? (DPSS CNI PGL-III-C greens?) YAYY SUMMER :wave::wave::wave: 90+ F :D

I don't leave mine in a hot parked car. It is best to keep it in a reasonably comfy temp. place that is bone dry I'm sure! Oh, and don't store w/ the battery i it, could leak and do damage! -Glenn

Heat damage is heat damage. There are threads that have described just those events, (cold too). The heat source is obviously different, (outside as opposed to inside), but the effects are the same.

Anywhere between refrigerator temp and room temp is adequate for most lasers. No hot cars.
