Which laser should I bring to the Arctic Circle?

Hey,

Tomorrow I fly up to the North Slope in Alaska to work on the coast. (This is the very very top of Alaska somewhat near Prudhoe bay)
Here is my idea, the conditions should optimal for viewing:
~This time of year at this location there are only a few hours of sunlight
~No artificial light- no light pollution.
~cold cold clear skies. Ambient air temparature -45F/-42C.
~Excellent view of the Aurora borealis:)

Laser wavelengths I currently own.
405nm638mW in a Cree host

445nm 1.5W in my own stainless host

520nm in sinner's bare copper pen host

650nm Sony DVD burner build, oldie but a goodie.

I have other lasers in these wavelengths but for various reasons these are what I might bring. No room for them all!

Bloompyle might start a GB on a 515nm diode. I wish I had one now because I think that would be cool laser to bring :san:

Cya.

Edit. There will be sunlight but the angle of the sun will be low in the sky*

^I think you should bring the 520nm one! :p

And there will be sunlight in North Slope, Alaska. Current day length is as follows:
-Sunrise: 08:22:54AM
-Sunset: 6:52:46PM
-Day Length: 10h 29m 52s

The 520 sounds like a good choice. It's small so maybe I can bring the 445 too.
Ya, the day time is pretty even but it's only a sliver of sun. It will cast lots of long shadows

520 and 445 would be sweet! Don't forget to bring a camera! High quality beam shots at the aurora boreal is would be bitchin!

No, the sun will rise pretty high up in the sky even though North Slope is at latitude N69.
The sun will be as high up in the sky as Paris on December 21st.

Bring them all, if it is feasible (i.e, will you be flying, and what are the chances of them being seized).

If the photographic opportunities are good, and I imagine they will be, it'd be nice to have as many WLs as possible.

hide them all in your rectum. just make sure to put them in ziploc baggies first:toilet:

seriously though? IDK, whichever complements the aurora best I guess, if there will be any of that. something I have always wanted to see

Just don't bring any DPSS lasers. They won't work in the cold. :p

The lasers survived the trip, no need to hide any lasers in my rectum. What if I forgot and left the batteries in and they turned on during turbulence? Unpleasant to think about before bed:x I have the 520 and the 445. I'll try to snap some good photos. I don't have any DPSS lasers. I had a 532 but it died about 2months ago rip.

Some work better in the cold. Like Zraffle's 561. Or one of the 473's I have owned.

I see. I haven't had one that works in the cold though :)

Looking forward for the pics!
