? Laser noob, need help with laser buying please

Sorry, not 10$, actually 4$ for a tripod with clamp!

If you want to keep your eyes working like they are, then YES, get goggles. You never know when that beam is going to reflect off of some highly polished surface, like a mirror, other glass items, chrome, etc. & your eyes are gonna take a direct hit off that polished surface. Please, play safe, get goggles ASAP.......................rob

Less than $10.00 ???? Well all the better. The more cash he saves on a tripod & clamp, the more he can spend on better goggles..........rob

Generally speaking, us Veterans tend to keep an eye on the NOOBS, & try to steer them down the right path, regardless of the question. None of us wants anyone to damage their eyesight, hence my harping on the subject. I hope you didn't mind............rob
PS, You're welcome !!!

Yes, you should get decent eye protection. Would you buy and use an arc welder without having a welding mask or race a motorcycle without a helmet and leathers? Please also note that sunglasses, welding goggles, and suchlike are not going to protect you against lasers. The best goggles will be certified as conforming to an international standard such as ANSI Z136, CSA Z386, or EN207/EN208. Note that different wavelengths and strengths of lasers require different goggles. An OD2 at 808nm goggle might let you work with a 200mW 808nm diode, but this same goggle is inadequate for a 100W 808nm IR diode, where you might want an OD6. A goggle for green probably won't protect at all against red. Good goggles are an expensive part of this hobby and you will accumulate a collection of goggles over time. After all, damaged eyes can't enjoy lasers. Do some research of laser eye protection and learn a little more about this essential part of a fascinating hobby.

PS, thanks anyway :)

1st thing, get eye protection. Then get a "TRUE" 50mW GREEN LASER from DX (DEAL EXTREME). They will ship to your country, but not the USA. Good Luck, have fun, & PLAY SAFE..........rob

IMO the only green laser that doesn't 'hurt' your eyes is one without any batteries in it.

phoenix so DX ships to my country. Then can u tell me link of that site or, the price of the laser? i mean, my country uses MKD ( macedonian denars ) and i think 1 USD = 50 MKD so u can tell me the price in dollars or in MKD if u'r not to lazy to calculate :)

Go on GOOGLE & type in DEAL EXTREME.com. When you get to the home page, type
this in the "SEARCH BOX" Romisen 30mW Green Laser L-D030 (1*CR123A) This is a good starter laser that a lot of Members buy for their 1st laser. BUY EYE PROTECTION 1st though. You can figure out the cost in your countries currency. If you are going to use PAY PAL to buy it, they have a currency converter on their webpage......rob
