Hi you all laser enthausiast!

I have made a boarduino (a mini version of arduino) based laser harp.

I am now ready to sell the plans for those of you who want to own a laser harp or simply want to work on a cool project.

Already 12 people went ahead of you.

For a minor price I can send you the plans by email.

The parts are all available from ebay and other supplier who ship world wide.

Watch a vido clip on you_tube_/watch?v=0Lun6saJEqI.

I tried and tried but could not.

So I designed/developped my own.

If you are unable to find them, you know where to find me. :p

If it isn't you need to work on the sound syncing, because your hand jesters don't sync with the sound well most of the ??

Camvo, you've offered to sell design plans in a community that prides itself on its open-source nature. This is not going to reward you with a gracious "Yes, please. Thank you."

As far as the video's authenticity, I am willing to give OP the benefit of doubt. It's not like this is an impossible build for someone with decent EE skills.

It was record by my daughter on the mobile phone. It might be a bit out of sync, you are right there.

But believe me it works. The last thing I want is a lot of people chasing me for selling garbidge!!!

No offense taken Awillis2589!!!

@ Scumbagatheist:

Originally I wanted to buy the kit from Things. Unfortunately, his delivery was very long and then I decided to investigate the principle deeper.
I could not find Steve Hobleys plans but somewhere I found his principle of working.
I did not have much more than using a DAC and TSL-12S to go on.
By the time Things was ready to deliver his kits, I finished the prototype.

Open source is one thing. If I can not refer to my plans for sale, should I remove/stop this thread?

Cheers
Peter

I suppose the answer to that is up to the Mods. I don't think it's against the rules, but it might be considered in bad taste. I understand your perspective perfectly well. But, to put it euphemistically; You came to the wrong hood, Mother F-er!

I'm not saying you're unjustified in trying to sell your design. I'm saying your audience is not ideal.

OP Camvo--

Maybe you would have gotten kinder treatment had you made your first thread in the WELCOME section at LPF-- We can sometimes be a little 'testy' with those who seem to be more interested in sales first-- we are not fond of spammers here( not saying you are one )

Not too late to make a better 'first impression' ...for an idea of what a intro theard should look lke just go to that section and read a few--

I have no DOUBT that you are the first member here who also sells jack-hammers for his living--I have used one a few times and they are hard on your ears & body--w/o some protection and a lot of hard work using one. but beats the hell out of a sledge hammer-
SO WELCOME to LPF- good luck with your harp plans and show us some more (better) vids.

also can you please tell us what power green laser you are using for the one in you avatar??-- great pic --

Thanks for the warm welcome Hakzaw1.

I tend to walk in wrong neighbourhoods more often. :p
If I offended anyone, I am truly sorry about that.

The laser used in the avator is a 375mW (measured), 532nm laser.
I used IShow to create the beam fan. (How little did I knew then!)
It is the same laser as used in the video of the harp.

I have no intentions to get rich from the harp plans. Not for the money at which I am selling them anyway.

Steve Hobley's plans are no where to be found on the web. (At least I could not) He did a well job of protecting them.
When I got the first harp working, I thought that there must be other people who want to do this so I decided to make instructions for other people who want to have a laser harp. As an alternative for Steve's plans.

I only ask to the people who buy the plans, not to distribute them. Make as many harps as you want and sell the harps instead and let them get rich!!

But to show my goodwill:
Anyone interested in an arduino based RGB xy-projector?

Yes! I currently am rounding up the components to build some of cfavreau's OLS DAC boards & am clearing off my benchtop to have a go at arudino's for my first time, very intersted in what you have to offer to the community related to arduino DAC's
Sometime I will fit the Etherdream into my planning also

Welcome to LPF :)
