I have a 5mW laser gun site that isn't working it's best,
from the stills and the video can anyone identify who made it,
and is it worth tinkering with or should I just gut the animal and put all new
parts in the host?
OH!
Tried 5 different batteries at my local Interstate Battery Location;
Made no difference.

Well you spent 60$ and if its just a switch that should be a easy fix.
You say you can get it working when you done use the switch and have it set to constant on so that over rides a driver or battery issue.
You will need to find someone with a good soldering iron and they can add you another switch.
Much cheaper than buying a whole new one.
You could pick a new switch at radio shack for less than 3$.
Hope this helps.

Radio Shack is a dead entity here in Canada, it was taken over or rebranded "The Source" and I believe it has ties to Circuit City.
they do not carry the electronics bits and pieces that the older store name was famous for.
found a new switch online and ordered one... so we will see.

but in the mean time;
If anyone out there has any info on just where this animal may have come from and if there might be other fixes to consider I welcome them.

additionally I would like to get a little more out put,
and if anyone knows how a similar looking laser was tweaked for a little more oomff! please let me know...
if I could get it up to say 10 or 15mW, that would be really cool!
