I'm somewhat new to the whole laser safety thing, but I noticed that when I wear my laser glasses, there's about a 5-10 degree angle at the bottom where light can come in. Isn't this an obvious design flaw since it can let laser light in, or is it alright because any light that came in would be at a very shallow angle and wouldn't hit my retina? Also, the sides are opened, though no light can directly reach my eyeball.
I guess what I'm asking is are any laser eyewear that can let any light in from any angle inherently flawed? I have some of these but I'm slightly nervous about playing with my laser because I like my eyes very much. How do you guys do it safely, and is it worth shelling out for goggles?
