There's...

375 nm UV Diode
405 nm Violet Diode
445 nm Blue Diode
473 nm Turquoise DPSS?
488 nm Light Blue DPSS?
510 nm Forest Green DPSS?
532 nm Green DPSS
589 nm Yellow DPSS
593 nm Gold DPSS
620 nm Orange Yellow Diode?
635 nm Orange diode
650 nm Red Diode
660 nm Red Diode
670 nm Dark Red diode
780 nm IR Diode
808 nm IR Diode
1064 nm IR Diode

What others are there? And please list the exotic ones too, if I missed any. I need a description of what the color looks like too!

Only list laser diode and DPSS systems. No Gas or other odd types! Please specify why type it is.

Re: Laser Wavelengths? (laser diodes)

What is this all about ? Your talking about diodes or lasers gas and DPSS

There's no way (that I've heard of) to hit 589 or 593 with a diode. Though I don't know why it wouldn't be possible in theory with InGaAlP. We use that for 589nm LEDs. That said, I'm not even sure we know for certain whether anyone has hit 532 from a diode yet (a few have claimed to in the lab). So I think you need to take a few off your list.

Other than that, you probably need to add a few too:

- You're missing ~375nm from the NDU1113E / NDU7216E
- You're missing ~620nm from thermally regulated InGaAlPs (sp?)

Or you could search - the work has already been done ;)

Re: Laser Wavelengths? (laser diodes)

In the infrared there is are a gazillion different wavelength starting already in the read and covering about every nm (tunable lasers alone cover 1260 to 1640 without gap) of the NIR and there exist laser diodes even for the far infrared. Rather hopeless to make a list of.

edit: for example this is post 1310nm for me, a popular telecom wavelength.

Most of that stuff is DPSS not DIODE.

...and also lacks the wavelength of the CO2 lasers (deep IR 10,600 nm) ;)

I changed the thread title, and I didn't see that there, unfortunately.

Should I just delete this thread?

No, it's interesting why you want to delete it??
For the title, if you don't want to include gas lasers, then I suggest laser diodes and DPSS

Re: All Laser Wavelengths

Well if you have a 635 diode and you extreme cool it to - 30 or watever the wave length shifts so lol basicly you have already 100.000 different colorshades of red in 1 diode
( just to make this thread even more complicated )

there we go. I changed the title to include DPSS and laser diodes only.

Please specify when you list a wavelength what type it is!

355nm DPSS UV isn't uncommon, also 671nm DPSS, 457nm DPSS. 510nm is diode only I think, not DPSS.
