I'm always afraid I'll fry my stuff with 4.2V, still haven't found the courage to test anything with the AAAs I bought.

I never would've until I saw the results that Pman, LivingLoud and others have gotten. Jayrob has some interesting builds too. The Eekbay pens are pretty hardy. Maybe when your 405 gets there. Hopefully it won't take 1-3 months. I'll ship another way next time ;)

I'll try on the new pen! Wonder if it's safe with 532nm as well.

Don't worry man, it's not your fault and there isn't much that can be done about that. The problem is that every inbound package stops on customs - most stuff sits there for 1-2 months, never gets checked and is sent our way. I think they do this on purpose to discourage international buying..

Oh, gotcha. Thanks for letting me know :) I'm pretty sure the 532's work, seems to be a lot of variation though. Maybe send Pman a PM. He's really nice and into the 532 builds, has a wealth of knowledge.

Got my prizes today, both look great! Here's the pen with the dragon perched on it:

And here's proper

on a big GITD sheet.

Power reading pending arrival of my AAA spacers.. my regular 1.5V cells are too old but even with them this seems quite powerful!

Sorry abou the double post, but I had to report the pen is doing a very stable 100mW with a LiFePO4 and a spacer! It's now officially my most powerful violet!
