I would look no further than Pelican cases,
Pelican Products 1170 Case

Theres smaller sizes aswell. I don't know the size of your laser but this should do. A standard Arctic Spyder will accept a Peli 1200 case.

As jcranmer said handgun cases work quite well. I found pretty much this same case locally for $50 that I'm going to get soon. It'll fit my bare HeNe tube if I put it in at a slight angle and leave plenty of room for my others. It should hold everything but my 473 labby and Green HeNe head.

case:

Do-All Outdoors Bandito Vaquero Flight Pistol Case (4 Pistol) 18" x 13" x 5 1/2" - Dick's Sporting Goods

The one I'm looking at has two four digit combination locks on it too. I'm sure someone who's determined to get in could bust them fairly easily but they'll keep the average curious idiot out.

I have one of those with a custom foam insert for batteries...

That's kind of small though. Only like 6 inches for the inside length. But if you want it for a small laser, then yes, it's a very well made case. Pelican is probably the best...

One of my favorite ones for the money (I have 3 or 4 of them), is this case: (the black one)
Reviews for TZ Pro-Tech Case Alumitech Gun Case 11.5x9x3.25, Black - View or add your review!

It only has one clip. (latch)

But it has a combo lock on it if you want to lock the case for child safety...

I bought this one from Harbor Freight for about $15.00. For the price, I love it. It has a deep foam base that can easily be trimmed to fit all sizes of goodies. The lid has a removable insert that houses my 18650's and 123's very well. It also holds my small tools, tapes and such. Behind that, I store all my papers, info and wiring needs. not pictured is the foam insert that lays in the lid to sandwich all of my precious toys to keep them safe. I hope this helps someone out;) - Corbin

OO. Nice. There's a harbor freight about 2 miles from work. I'm going to have to stop by on payday. The gun case is nice but that looks almost as good for a quarter of the price. I tried looking for it online but couldn't find it. Do you remember what section it was in or what its original intended use was?

I don't remember that it had a specific intended use? It was on a perimeter wall with all the other cases and storage bins. It came in an all aluminum finish, or the one that I got with black panels.

Thanks! I din't know if it was for holding tools or something like that. I'll have to stop by there next week and take a look.

edit: Found it by searching for "storage case" (imagine that!) Looks like the one I'd want is $24.99 which is still a nice price compared to the $62 to get the pistol case shipped here. The only problem is the other case had the egg crate style foam in it so I dunno if this one would be able to hold my HeNe tubes without them or the other lasers rolling around smashing into each other.
