Kryton Beast Logo CONTEST!!!

Once again folks it is time to come up with a snazzy logo for the newest member of the Kryton family. I will be laser engraving the logo onto the side of the anodized barrel so I need a logo that is going to be unique and stylish

Lets outline the contest.

I will outline exactly what I'm looking for in a logo and all you talented individuals out there will come up with some graphics to represent the logo. It will be BLACK AND WHITE ONLY. An engraved image onto an anodized surface is not going to show detail. Here is an example of the groove logo as well as the Kryton logo engraved onto a Kryton groove barrel:




there is no limit to the submissions by one person, however I will be the ultimate judge of what will be selected. I'll warn everyone now, this thread will be flooded with some wonderful ideas and I'll probably have to start a poll or something along those lines to narrow the final entries down to some finalists. We of course won't know that until the end.

I'm looking for a Beast related logo. PLain and simple. I'll leave it up to everyone on what they would like to go with, but I'd like to see some entries with claws slashing from behind as part of the "logo" May not be what I choose, but I'd like to see some. The Kryton portion of the logo will remain the same so just focus on the Beast portion.

Here is the part ya'll have been waiting for... "what's in it for me?!" The winner of the competition will receive a Kryton beast with all of the assorted bits and bobs FREE or it's associative value.

Time frame. End of August. that should be plenty of time to come up with some very very nice graphics.

I know the "kryton" part of the logo is not the same, but i wanted to add the eyes ontop so idk if you like it like that

The Kryton portion of the logo is the same so it's all good. Adding on top like that is perfectly acceptable. I had thought that the beast was going to be smaller than the word Kryton, but now that I've seen it bigger, it adds that certain intimidating factor that I think the beast needs. Might even consider the eyes inside the claw marks. One thing I would like to note. There is NO WAY for me to distinguish the two tone entry when it's engraved onto the host. I should have stated it will be ONE TONE. positive no negative. I think the best way to envision this is your paper is black.. and you only have a white pencil.

Needless to say, the entries thus far are promising. I'm not going to make statements to the positive or negative on any entry as I don't want to offend anyone because my tastes differ from yours. Each persons talent and creativity is a reflection of each individual person and as such, is beyond reproof.

I feel this one deserves it's own post

Will inverting the colors work??
Because as i understand, the way i had it, the "T" from the word beast would not have shown on the actual barrel. But if i invert the colors, then it should right?


EDIT: of course i still need to get all the knicks out of it, like get rid of all the little gray spots in it

hmm i do have a idea for this i will make a sketch when im @ work monday, if by that time nobody has made something that looks alike

Yeah that will work. What will end up getting engraved will be just the rip and the word beast will remain unengraved leaving behind an imprint of the word. I just had to think about it for a bit.
