Hey guys, I have little time so I'm gonna make this quick:

Steve from Wicked Lasers has contacted me to donate some lasers to LPF so I could sell them and give the money to Kenom (Option 1).

I suggested making a raffle instead of selling them. What do you think? Would you get in on this?

I could raffle them all in one raffle (with #1 to #n prizes) but with a high price ticket (Option 2), or raffle them one by one with low price tickets (Option 3).

Option 4: Auction the items. [Votes: 16]

Please choose and I'll work it out so we can help Ken!!

Update: The lasers will be the following:

2X - 5mW Core

2X - 80mW Executive Pro

1X - Torch Flashlight

You can stop voting now, the items will be auctioned. Thank you all for voting and voicing your opinions :) You get some virtual cereal!!

I voted for a direct sale with the proceeds being given to Ken. Reason for this is we have had problems before with raffles (threats, PP and GC accounts frozen, etc..) because they are not allowed under PP and GC rules. I think it would be safer to do a direct sale if we could. Now it does also depend also a little on which lasers they are, which as you said, we don't know yet. If they are really expensive ones (Sypders, etc..) a raffle would probably generate more money, since most people will not be able to afford thousands of dollars on a laser. If they are less expensive (pulsars, execs, etc) a direct sale will probably be just as good if not better profit wise.

Raffle them off one by one, that way people who dont have alot of money could have a shot at them.

I vote option 1. IMO raffles tend to drift people away as they are about luck and chance. If you had a solid price then people would know what to expect.

You could even auction them off one at a time right here
on the Forum...
It would need to be a time limited auction and bidding
must be done by posts so everyone can see who has
the last bid and time stamp...

I like this idea the best, I don't know why I didn't think of this first.

Auctioning them will be Option 4, sorry but I can't edit the poll :(

Wow, this absolutely stuns me that Steve would be willing to do this. I am grateful from the bottom of my heart...

Now I DO feel like a bum! I shouldn't have to rely on this kind of thing to prevent homelessness.

Everyone's generosity and understanding (tags not withstanding) have been extremely supportive and truly I am astounded!

THANKS GUYS!
