hmm well to the human eye wouldn't it be harder to see? I mean isn't that why its hard to see during the day? I know the beam is still there but our eyes have a harder time picking it up because of the light.

that's only when the light pollution is right at where you're trying to see the beam. it can pass right by a 1000 watt lightbulb but it will have no effect on the beam as it passes granted at the other end you block some of that light so the beam is still visible

In other words it will light up your kitchen no matter how much light it's going through as long as your kitchen is dark ;D

Question, whats the furthest you guys have shined a 120 mw green laser where you know somebody visibly saw it at the other end?
