Hey you guys... There's a couple of people commenting on that Hack a day article who are saying that the photo is 'shopped'. Please do me a favor and set them straight! :)

It is not photo shopped... One guy posted and told them. Was that you pseudolobster? But that kills me that people are saying it is fake...

No, that wasn't me, just some random admirer. Now I've written up a post in your defense though.

Again, more props! I read hack-a-day every day, and it's really cool to see someone you "know" on there. :)
 
Thanks for the support man... I shouldn't let it get to me, but that was really bothering me that people were saying the picture was not real.

That is amazing :) I must admit that if I was completely unexperienced with regards to lasers, I would probably also consider the picture fake.. how you assemble such a powerful laser in such a tiny kit is beyond me :o
Luckily, almost anyone who has even briefly visited this site should know that it is simply down to your amazing experience and skills.:gj:
 
Man thanks but... just things that I learned right here on LPF! Want any advice? - Always try to keep the attitude of 'willing to learn'.

Yep... I got lots of help in the past for stuff like this. And there are people here doing things that are way out of my league. LPF is awesome...

And for sure, I would not be able to build such a small laser without the FlexDrive.

LOL people are saying it's "definitely shopped!"

It's great how people can just start making assumptions about lasers without even knowing what a wavelength is.


Don't let them get to you, Jay, you're the greatest!





PS: You could answer in the comments section with your name and linking a video to shut all those infidels that it is definitely real ;)
 
As a satisfied Jayrob customer, I owed it to you to lend my support.

As for the pic, they don't realize what a little smoke can do for a laser, especially with one with such a short wavelength.
