IR filtering - what wavelengths need it?

so I assume that the red lasers dont need IR filtering because I think they are a solid state diode, or do I not know what I am talking about

but I know that 532nm green lasers of high power should have an IR filter on them

what other wavelengths need IR filtering?

last question, this might sound stupid but do IR lasers need an IR filter? lol, I mean do they output IR of a different wavelength other then the 808, 980, 1064 or whatever they are that should to be filtered - or are the IR filters only so you dont have to have special glasses to protect you from the IR as well as the visible light of whatever wavelength you are using that isnt an IR one

so I did search, but found nothing about this

I searched for IR filtering and didnt find anything in the first 2 pages about what wavelengths need the filtering

and the link to the WL site dont tell me anything about which colors need filtering - yea it says most are 808 and need it but thats all

and that picture is almost impossible to see the IR as if they actually put it in 808IR and its dim as ever - it should be outlined at least

Turn up your screens brightness or change your viewing angle, i have no problems seeing it.

You dont need filtering, but its safer and better.

All DPSS lasers have infrared pumping diodes. So youd need a filter with 473/523/593 etc. basically everything which is DPSS.
