I thought this was beyond the cool-meter...

EBay was founded by Pierre Omidyar in 1995. Though he's now a billionaire (of course), Pierre started AuctionWeb (as it was then known) as a simple "side hobby." In late '95, Pierre made history when he sold eBay's first item -- a broken laser pointer he had originally bought as a cat toy.

Well, well, well....ebay was born selling a laser pointer.......wonderful find.....teeheee..... :D

Ebay is full of crooks that don't care what they sell to complete mugs. I've heard of so many sad tales with people getting ripped of with lasers, it begs belief that there are still mugs ready to get robbed by these crooks....................
