Well, I do not know if government is supplementing them, but the result is the shipping cost of 38 bucks to Europe, with DHL. When I got my last package from US via express post (not really fast) it was 81.96 bucks, the package was a bit bigger, but about the same weight I guess. According to my experience the price 38 is like if you send individual package from Europe to Europe with express courier (like DHL). Therefore this has to be cheaper. I can imagine the most expensive in DHL processes is pick up and delivery. So if some local agent is able to do this stage of shipping cheaper, why not.

100mw 473nm Ple Mini LPM test. Looks like it gets into the high 130s as a peak. Not quite as much as the pro version but it is smaller. you have to give to get. one thing i like is how stable it is. I used to have the 50mw pro version and it would hang around 30-50mw for uo to 2 minutes and then slowly over the next 4 minutes climb to 120mw as a peak then remain fairly stable. this one jumps over 100mw quickly which is nice.

does it get very hot?? the first Pro Pl-E 473 were underspec until hot--as long as 4 or 5 min--something I am still not comfy with..
I may sell mine--PM if wanted.
Any JL group purchase via me will take some time to reach an acceptable number of items (anything they sell can be gotten in this CONUS GB--not just minis.)

once all $$ is there the rest is crazy fast-3 days to Texas-then I reship within a day or two.

the favored payment method to Gray is a bank transfer-costs me ~$30 and Gray about the same.
the other ways are more spendy..
personally I highly recommend NOT using pooppal for ANY laser buys (ever)
for starters-they want nothing to do w/ lasers >5 mW..afaik

FYI-we have a JL social group (J.O.G.) and some JL items me be FS ONLY there..

I used paypal to buy mine. There was no issue at all. I had 300 bucks in paypal so it really was a no brainer for me. Only had to pay 87 from my bank. I shound get the laser in a few days.

That PL-E Mini 473nm 100mW is a real gem--something special in a small form factor PL-E Mini host laser.

Post some picture when you receive it--include some beam shots

Oh, man you are lucky. I noticed it is updated to my order as well, but it does not work. It is just a few digits - no usuall dhl "JDsomedigits" format. Even if I try to track it as refrence no success. Am I missing something?

mine did not work ether. i copied my tracking number and pasted it into the dhl express tracking page

I just received an update from DHL also, it looks like mine may be at customs in Cincinnati Ohio!

Still no success. Gray wrote me that there was some trouble, but it should start working within a few hours. I put it in Deliveries app, therefore I'll be notified. Thanks for info.

last time i had a dhl shipment it said it would arrive in 2 days. it took 2 weeks due to the extreme inefficiency of Hong Kong. Hope its faster this time

It's not as fast as it seems, it was originally sent out to DHS a couple of weeks ago, where it sat for a week at the port in Hong Kong.
I received an email from Gray last week stating that since it hadn't moved, J/L would have it returned to them, and then re-shipped!
Usually, when it gets to DHL, you've got got it at your door in 3days or less, at least that's been my experience with them so far.
Hopefully customs in Cincinnati won't be a problem.

thats what i figured. Thats a bit disappointing but its sure better then Registered Snail Mail. My dragon lasers laser took 45 days lol

So finally my tracking started to exist in DHL system, however it says just: "Shipment information received" and location of that event is "LE HAVRE - FRANCE". But it heads to my city, so hardly error. Well, as this indicates that their agent used form of forwarding, I described in my earlier post, instead of direct shipping with DHL from Hong Kong I can expect it later. However I'm on business trip right now, so I need to organize it somehow if it arrives before I'm back. At least I can see it now.

Gray deeply apologized several times and I got refunded shipping cost from them as compensation! That was unexpected and very kind from JL.

That's one of the benefits of buying a Jetlasers product! :yh:
As anyone who has owned a J/L will tell you, their customer service is the best in the business, bar none.
When my package was delayed in Hong Kong, Gray was the one who contacted me, rather than me having to wait and wonder where my package was.
