Question:

In the Visible Light Portion of the EMS, each wavelength corresponds to a color, correct? Now that I am going to be choosing a diode out of the "visible light" & in to the 900's, um what color would it be?

Using the term "color" is a convenience that no longer applies once you leave the visible spectrum of light. The term wavelength still applies, so you can find a 940nm wavelength laser.

It can also properly be called an IR laser.. which is almost a color: The term infra-red translates literally to "below red."

As noted earlier, the term "Color" is tossed out when you leave "Visible Light" in the EMS so why do I see People viewing "Thermal" in Color?

....

It is false color, used to show intensity. Our brains like to think blue = cold and red = hot, so the interface shows it that way.
