Try search this forum and ebay for "coherent laser diode power bar".
At 20W and up even 808nm should be somewhat visible.

(You might have a slight problem with the optics.)

Are you wanting to build this mega laser or buy it? What is your budget?
You can get 3 808nm 40w diode bars and side pump a yov4 crystal to produce 1064nm.
Then you place a ktp crystal into the optical cavity and out comes 523nm. Of course this is
a very difficult task, lol. But you end up with what, 20-60W 532nm green light. That's high on the epic scale for me.

Personally, I've "only" tried 10w of 808, end pumped. My optics are cheap, and had no laser power meter at the time. Don't know what I got out.

I think 120W of 808 pump will at absolute best case ever, give you a little less than 40W of 532 output. More than likely you'd get 20-30W, which is still a lot and extremely dangerous as well. Not really something i'd really want to even be in the same room with. But your talking about a massive financial, not to mention time, input to do this DIY as well.

that would be #24 1 watt diodes all targeting one spot right? that is pretty wicked but you couldn't send that beam in another direction could you?
and queme 808 would be a very deep red right? why when you change wavelength does the power drop?

Its only 24 diodes being driven to a 66.6% 1600mW duty cycle.

I guess you could "send the beam" in another direction with a mirror? I think you might want to reword that last question. If you mean make it into a beam, not really. It would take a crapload of optics with a lot of losses along the way.

You need to learn the search, and if you were refering to me DIY green post, power doesn't drop when changing wavelength. Only the visible brightness does. Though you'd probably be able to see 120W of 808nm fairly well, and yes it would be red, at least for a few seconds until you fried your retina's looking at the 'dot' unprotected.

I think what you were seeing in my post is the losses coming from DPSS. With green, after the losses of converting 808nm to 1064nm, and doubling that to 532, your only getting about a best case of 1/3 the mw in 532nm out as you put in as 808nm.

Best way for portable high power is a 808nm diode bar. 445nm diodes are not really as powerful as people make them out to be. Well sure, they are, but nothing compared to what you can do with say, a 40W or evene 60 or 80W 808nm diode bar.

The issue is getting 3V at a couple amps to power them, The 60W bars require about 90A max current.

That and you can't get a beam from a diode bar, and they are almost impossible to collimate, so it'd only be a close up burner.
