Hello everyone, I have purchased a red 100mw 650-658 focusable laser diode and i t says the current I need is 200mah. Honestly I don't even know what that means. The only baterys I have access to are normal batteries from companies like duracel, energizer and Panasonic.( AA,AAA,9V ect) . what batery and how many of them do you think I should use?

Show us a picture.

I have a car. The RPM meter goes up to 8,000. So what type of gas do I put in?

Hard to answer right ?

If you are thinking of hooking the diode up to a battery directly with no driver that's not going to work.

Its just the diode

No, it could have a driver inside the module back.

It doesn't make sense for the voltage input to be 5V to 6V on a RED diode, unless those are driver input specs. At the same time, my gut just says there's no driver.

You're going to need to take off the back (if you can, without damaging anything) to figure out if there's an integrated driver in place already.

My laser diode comes with a drive. I asked the guy who sold it to me and he said
"this listing includes
ld
driver
housing
two wires"
