i need help hooking a SPST switch to blu ray

ok i went to radio shack and bought some parts for this blu ray build. sadly,my friend would not accept it since i already gave her a green laser :'( :'(
Ok back on subject. i need help hooking a SPST Momentary switch to my circuit. when i do it,the laser turns on when the button is off,and off when the button is pressed on. heres a diagram

If there are only 2 terminals I am afraid you have purchased a normaly on rather than a normaly off switch :(


......Unless of course you have wired it like the drawing, you seem to show it with + to one terminal and - to the other, this means you are shorting out the battery when you press the button..... If that is what you have done take the - from the battery straight to the module, cut the + wire and connect from battery to one terminal and the + to the module to the other terminal....

Thanks ROG !!! it works perfect now. all i did was run the - to the module. and then a + from the battery to the switch,and the the module + to the other switch pole. Thanks

lol i was thinking that the battery must be getting hot with it wired up like that
