Hey guys, I have a couple lasers highest being 100mW green. I have been looking for days for a good cheap beginner LPM but cant find one.. I would kind of like the meter to go up to around 200mW or 1Watt (just in case I later in life get a more powerful laser). Even if you guys are selling one, please post, I really need one. I have been looking on ebay, and different websites but have found nothing.

Thanks guys

Here's a comparison chart I put together: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Agl60dWgiC12dFcxblFLbXhNQnJBdkRwbTdxT1U4dlE&usp=sharing
(This comparison is only accurate as of a month or two ago when I put it together)

The BlueFan Basic has good specs for a low price.
I also highly recommend DIY with an Ophir head.

Hey ARG...
nice job on the chart.

I just noticed that there are some errors on your Chart...
I'll go though them from top to bottom..

1) The APEX as far as I'm aware is only a one-off proof of
concept prototype.

2) The Die4Thing LPM only goes to 3000mW and it does not
have Data Logging as it was sold.

3) The Classic Kenometer only goes to 2000mW as sold.

4) The LB XXX monikers are not our brand... It is LaserBee

5) The LB USB and LB USB II is called LaserBee 2.5W USB
and LaserBee 3.7W USB respectively

6) Our 5W LaserBee measures from 1mw to 5000mW.

7) To compare oranges to oranges you should show our (0-90%)
response time for our Non OPHIR Head LaserBee LPMs. I know you
didn't have them so here they are...
LaserBee A
LsserBee AX
LaserBee 2.5W USB
LaserBee 3.7W USB
All 15-16Sec @ 0-90%

LaserBee I
LaserBee I-X
LaserBee II
All 4-5 sec (0-90%)

8) Our company name is J.BAUER Electronics and not
bauer-ee or you can use our LPF User name of lasersbee.

I say go a LaserBee.. They are the best meter you can buy (at a hobbyist level) And because Jerry is a member here he will do everything he can to help you!
I actually just bought a 3.7W USB myself and can't wait to get it.

That's my 2 cents.

Hey ARG...

thanks for the correction updates on your chart...

There is still one small problem on line 15.
The LaserBee AX can read to just over 3000mW.
