Umm..... What about the lasers that get damaged in your shipping process? That you don’t know about. because that’s kind of not fair to the company say if UPS drops your package out of the cargo hold of a 747 36 feet onto the pavement and then your laser gets bad results because the crystals are misaligned and then you give them a bad review because you think that they sent out a bad unit

True, but what are the chances of that? If a package were that messed up, you should see it on the outside. As far as I'm concerned, the whole idea of 'unnoticeable shipping damage that leaves the laser seemingly good, but just 25% or so underpower' was a myth created on the LC forums when there was the heyday of underpower laser reports. Sure sounds like a total BS excuse for an underpower laser to me eh?

I guess if someone wants to throw money at us, we can personally fly to each companies distribution facility and test the lasers right there. Then again (in addition to throwing away all anonymity), when you buy a laser is that how you do it? Or do you have it shipped to you? If there is any sign of unfair damage to the laser, I will get in touch with the company to try to sort the deal out, but I'm not just gunna assume that because a laser is underspec, it was that way only because it was damaged in shipping. I know this ain't 100% fair, but I figure I'm will to take a 1 in 1000 chance of wronging some honest company to prevent countless companies from wronging countless thousands of innocent customers.

Sorry. I'll try to be as fair, unbiased, and equal to each company as possible - even the ones I have bad feelings towards - but I gotta draw the line somewhere. So I'm gunna pull out my Occham's razor on this one. If there's no obvious sign of shipping damage, I'm going to call an underpower laser and underpower laser, 36 feet onto the pavement or not.

That said, if you can think of a better way of solving this problem, please let me know!

Are you guys going to test anything from warnlaser? I want to see how badly their lasers fail when tested.

Yeah, I want to see how warnlaser stands up as well. I don't think c0ld's review cut it because they got to choose which laser to send to him, yaknow?

For a company like warnlaser that charges so much for lasers we're already 99.999999999999999999999999% sure are scams, its gunna be hard to justify. I'll talk to Greg and see what he thinks though.

Get this one from warnlaser: http://www.warnlasers.com/400mw_laserpointer.html

It's got a 1year warranty on it. Now that's confidence  Buy it, then keep returning it until they get a decent unit. I mean, it's under warranty.

And if they never sell a working one, call false advertising and ask for your money back :) (In fact, probably should do that anyway).

Sounds good to me I was just throwing what if out their and seeing what you would do. And ya I agree with you their would be signs of visible damage on the box.

But anyway I may have missed this but where are you going to be posting the reviews? Is their a dedicated website or will it be in the review section?

We will be cross posting the reviews across most forums in order to reach the most people possible ! When I post my reviews, I will also post links to the other places they are reviewed, simply to avoid any confusion (hopefully !)
