So I'm on my way home from work this morning, and I come to a stop sign not far from my house. I get to it, pull up to it, and hold my brakes. I see this chinese lady come FLOATING up the hill as fast as her little cr-x can go talking on a cell phone, not paying a damn bit of attention. So while I am sitting DEAD STILL at this stop sign what ever does she do? Just slam into my car, and take the fender off and screw up my brand new, expensive rims? Yeah why not?

Check this bulls*** out.

And the bad thing is I don't even know what all this is going to cost me yet, but the body shop said it wasn't too pretty.

So if you were stopped behind the line and she hit you, why would you have to pay anything to get it fixed? Didn't she have insurance? Isn't liability insurance a requirement in most states?

I made this gag before, and i'll make it again.

I hooked Chez up to a diode once. It LEDed. Women really are bad drivers. :)

More relevantly, here it's illegal to talk on the phone while driving. If it's the same where you live you can probably make her pay.
Shame though either way.

I only have liability and somehow she doesn't have insurance. So it's all on me, but I don't know what's going to happen to her legally.

Can't you sue her for not having insurance?

Driving around other women drivers is just like trying to hunt polar bears with your bare hands.

I don't know how it works over there, but here there is a fund paid for by all insurance
companies to pay for damage in accidents caused by uninsured drivers.
Since liability insurance is mandatory though throughout europe, those who are
caught without it are in for a bad time.

Did you get the woman's contact or at least license plate number?
It shouldn't be too hard to make her pay.... didn't you call the cops?
Or can they only be bothered to come over when someone got injured?

In traffic, whenever I spot someone near me, distracted on a cellphone,
I dedicate a good portion of attention to them, expecting them to screw up any moment.

In the second picture you can see the cop car behind mine.
I'll have to call the insurance company tomorrow and see what goes down

Someones gonna have he'll to pay and it ain't me. That's for sure

Just about every state requires people to carry liability insurance AT LEAST.

though a lto of people simply don't have insurance because they're irresponsible or can't afford it.

You'll have to take her to small claims court and have a judge order her to pay the damages. I don't know how to begin that process, i'd just call the courthouse and ask.

that's real shitty though man.....
she probably works for WL

Yeah I think Niko is right. You do have a case if she does not have insurance.

Suing has become so easy to do these days, but there is definitely a time and a place for it.

She defiinitely deserves some type of punishment. The car and the rims are gorgeous. Especially the rims =O
if shes not going to be held responsible in anyway, then that would be absolute bull. I would recommend going through exact details with the insurance company on how that lady can be held responsible.

This type of stuff really pisses me off. Even though it doesnt involve me. I mean, what if it was a much more serious hit to the car, and you were seriously hurt. I wouldnt b surprised if u would have had to take responsibility.
