She's driving with no insurance.... The officer told me that's big legal trouble for her, she has to get insurance, and pay for my damages which she agreed to or I can take her to court. I shouldn't have said "arrest" because I don't really know what will happen but that is my mistake. I should've said haf serious legal action taken against her.

It seems automotive insurance coverance varies wildly. Here in holland the damage ceiling is either 1 or 5 million euros, so there is little chance of damaging vehicles above that unless you somehow manage to hit mulitiple cars at once.

As a victim the downside is that you will get the amount required to repair your vehicle, but not the loss in value. If you drive something that cannot be restired ti narjet vaue, you may find yourself screwed :(

You can hold her liable in civil court. If she doesn't have the money to take you won't get anything.

This is assuming you can prove beyond a doubt that she is at fault, plus you will have to pay all the court costs up front and hope that you can recover them from her later.

They will not put here in Jail for driving without insurance, even if you get an judgment in your favor and she doesn't pay. You might be able to garnish her wages or get a bank account levy but that rarely happens in my experience.

Google this stuff, and consider the source when you are researching especially if you plan on taking legal action in the future. I truly wish you the best in getting your car fixed on her dime, but if she's driving a CR-X with no insurance chances are she doesn't have the deepest pockets in the world...

she agree'd to pay for the damages and she admitted fault, and a cop was coming down the hill behind me about 100 meters away and saw everything
i was at the stop sign, with my turn signal on behind the line sitting dead still. there were tire marks from my right two tires where her car pushed mine back 3-4 feet.
it's all being resolved as we speak but she is paying for it, and if she doesn't I have the police report with the cop being a witness to it being 110% her fault.
