I'm glad to hear that TJ !! Dioptika is selling many different types. So i dont wanna destroy it with a to high power Laser. ( Melting the inner painting )
The Lenses are a mess and give me not the result i was looking for. Maybe i just expect to much from it. I just boght the Laser because he was fitting the Expander.

For me the case is closed anyway. I learned the hard way. Again

If you recieved the big lens, with the 3 smaller ones exactly as he pictured what are you worried about?

If the price was fine then there's no problem, I think you're worried about the expander being home made by the guy? You could possibly be confusing posts he's made about his DIY exapnder and that actual commercial beam expander he sold you from Dioptika, which isn't home made from what I can see.

Yes the laser you probably got messed around on, but can you prove it's 150mW? Might worth asking a trusted member if they can power test/ fix it for you I'm sure it won't be too expensive.

That's if you can't dispute it in Paypal, or resolve it through the forum.

Just saw your post above, I'm pretty sure you can't "Destroy" a beam expander, the laser will only be in contact with the lens's so unless your firing a 100W CO2 laser through it or something I don't think you have to worry.

Unless it's specifically coated for 405nm, in which case only use blu-rays, are you upset because of the condition of? and what do you mean a "mess" not the result you were looking for? If you take some pictures of the dot through the lens or some actual proper pictures of the lens YOU have in your possession someone might actually be able to help you.

Something is just not right with it. The 6mm Lenses at the Attachments are glued really sad. You will see.

I just stumbled on this thread and I'm a bit confused.

Here is my record of all our conversations...

The beam is almost not visible in a dark room and the burning power is the same as a 200mW is doing. Not only this is a problem. Sometimes the Laser dont even work.
I will sent it back to you. Try it out.

Can you confirm that it is 400mW for me with a LPM? The beam should be fairly visible in a dark room. And what do you mean by wiggle contact? The beam expander is very well packaged, I used tons of bubble wrap.

There is no way it is 200mW. With that driver and set up it would not reduce power. If you want to send it back I can refund you $150 or look at it to see whats wrong.

I offered to refund your money, take a look at the laser and asked for you to confirm the power. You took none of these suggestions from me and said the deal was closed and then I find this and nobody even bothered to tell me that this thread existed.

I have taken a step back from the forum and for personal reasons. I dont have as much time for this hobby as I used to. I work full time and I am in my second year of electrical engineering school (ask around... this isnt something accomplished with alot of free time)

The expander is a legitimately purchased item from dioptika and I have the invoice to prove it. Let me know if you want to see that.

As for the laser.... it is exactly what was advertised and you never gave me any proof that the power had dropped off. I even offered to refund your money.

I have done many transactions and have always done my best to make sure to satisfy the buyer. With this transaction it was simply a matter of you telling me the deal was closed and not bothering to contact me with any further issues you had.

Sorry about the bump with this thread but it just frustrates me that you didnt even bother to let me know you had any further issues after telling me the deal was closed back in february.

I'm not a shady person at all and after taking a step back from the forum I still checked my inbox regularly but never saw any further messages from you. This just sucks cause my absence from the forum does make me look shady but it could not be further form the truth.

As I recall the last thing we talked about (mostly posted above) was whether or not your customs agency opened your package. You told me they DID open your package and gave me that as the reason why you were not going to take a refund, as well as the shipping costs. You made three separate payments through paypal and attempted to have me send you one package. To cover myself on my end I had to send you three separate packages so I would have the necessary tracking and delivery info to avoid being scammed myself. This made the shipping very costly and I understand that being an issue discouraging you from sending the laser back for a refund or maintenance.

I used a bubble wrap envelope and wrapped the laser in several layers of bubble wrap. The packaging should have been more than adequate. Was the package opened by your customs agency?

well you must understand that I checked my messages frequently but you made no effort to get in touch with me at all. Last I heard from you the deal was closed and you were going to keep the laser because your customs agency had opened your package.

I sent you a working 400mW laser and if it was truly broken why would you not have taken the refund I offered?
