i can make a ddl driver but i don't kno what size module to use i want a focusing lense and a visable diode 200mw or better and a pair of safety goggle according to the laser can someone help me out an list what i need and where to buy them. i can afford around $130 but the cheaper the better. please help all i can find is expensive ones ore don't sound trustworthy

All of the info you require is here to find all the items you need to build just about any laser you want, do you have a hard time finding things ?
If you have used the search function and can not find any parts to make a laser with either you are not looking hard enough or are using the wrong syntax, try changing your words used in the search.

Check with Scopeguy20 he sometimes has laser safety glasses for sale.

Hope this helps !

What the  did you listen to the question

I'm always willing to listen to experts when it comes to credit. However, this problem started back in the 60s when Vise and Master Card was born. You now have to give your approval for a credit card but back then, if you had a saving account,a checking account or a loan, you were approved. Plus no department store in their right mind would give you a $5,000 credit limit!

I don't understand. Does not compute.

You can easily do a couple of lasers for your budget of $130.00. You say that you can make the DDL driver, so obviously you can solder and also know some electronics. Pick your diode, for a beginner try LPC-815 red or PHR-803T violet, both are cheap diodes, get two in case you kill one. These are available here on the forum. Get an aixiz module, it comes with a lens. You can get an upgraded lens later if desired. Based on your diode choice, build the DDL driver set to the desired current. (400mA for red LPC, 100mA for violet PHR) From our forum vendors, you can get a diode already mounted in the aixiz module, just add driver, heatsink for aixiz module, batteries, host, and switch. Host can be a handheld kit based on MXDL, etc., or host can be simple like an altoids box, or project box for a lab laser. For a first project, it's easier to build a lab laser as there is more room to work with in the project box. Keep reading old posts in the forum, there is tons of build info in here.

If you've never tried any of it i still recomend, not only reading morgan's guide but also watching some videos on extracting diodes, then get an old optical drive and practice! I have a graveyard of busted diodes hammered into my table from the multitudes I've broken and from the sounds of it (With you able to make a driver) soldering won't be a problem. Either that or buy a pre-extracted diode. I find whole sleds to be cheeper but it won't be cheap if you bust the diode taking it out!
