Was I cheated?

Ah, I kind of feel like an asshole now.

Apparently the lighting in my basement doesn't give off the right wavelengths to really reflect the gold off of the lens.

Taking it upstairs, and looking at it in the kitchen, there is a slight golden hue to things reflected off of it.

Ah, well.

I had already bought a new pair from DTR too. I guess I need them anyway
