Man, it can be tough for those of us without a background in electrical engineering to figure out all of the twists and turns involved in this hobby!

I want to express a huge debt of gratitude to two of our members who produce drivers for the rest of us. This has got to be a terribly frustrating thing for them.
I am only withholding names so that they are not bombarded with questions by folks who wont do their homework.

I had issues with one driver that turned out to have a bad regulator on it. Not only did the maker send me a new one that was triply-tested, but he was so kind as to throw in enough components to build 4 more of my own! (I'm gonna have to ask for support on that one..) So, a huge amount of thanks for that!

I also had issues getting accurate readings on another and high-current driver. Well, it turns out that despite the millions of threads about how many diodes to use in our test loads, that there does not SEEM to be one single thread on how to actually MEASURE you Vf on your load, through your diodes AND resistor. Well, this driver maker, despite his tremendous frustration over people accusing him of making faulty drivers, took a great amount of time out of his schedule to make me a 10 minute long video on Youtube to show me how to do just that; Measure your forward voltage on your test loads!

This was the piece of datum that I have been missing all along. And, thanks to this member, I now trust that my readings will be accurate from here on out.

So, yeah. Do your homework. Don't accuse. Ask all the questions you can in the forums. Then, and only then, should you bother these good folks.

Thanks to you all. This has been an invaluable experience.

I wouldnt be here without having pre built drivers available. I could follow tutorials but my driver would be the size of a breadboard and in no way capable of being put into a host. So for all of you out there that produce small pcb drivers, THANK YOU!

If you get those other driver builds figured out, your methods and results are worth posting on the boards to help everyone else out.
