We´re talkin about the time during business days. Be honest to you and the other members here, and don´t care abou to be a LPF junkie

The last days I spent here for sure more than 3hours/day. It depends on if I want to buy a new laser and do some research (much more than 3h) or if I only come here to talk to members and look around a bit.

Edit: m-c answers are available (for the last option ;))

According to Dorothy, I love my computer more than her.

Just look at the time stamps on my posts, some are as late as 4:00 am (just before I pass out) and then a post at 6:00 am again.(when the alarm clock goes off)

The first couple of weeks it was maybe 3 hours per day reading and reading.
Now it is VERY different from day to day - sometimes I am not online for weeks, sometimes (when there are several threads of interest) I will spend 2 hours+ in one day.
These are my active hours however - reading and writing. I am logged on and check for updates every half hour or so whenever I am stuck at home writing essays, studying, relaxing... so that could be 6 hours+ of being logged on about 3 days per week.

Now that I'm used to the place, I usually login as part of my morning and evening routine after checking e-mail. I "mark forums read" when I logoff, and look at "new posts" when I login, and spend at most 1 or 2 hours a day here.

I check it a few times a day, as I have the subscription page as my home page, so I can just glance at it to see any new posts whenever I use the Internet.

I probably spend 4-6 hrs a day here.
I am running out of new "experiments" to do with pointers and labbies, so I am planning on building a R/G/B scanner.
I have been spending a lot of time reading up on them.

As several of the noobies have stated; "Reading only gets you so far, without having the parts in hand, a lot of the info doesn't make sense"

The basic operation and parts of the scanner, I understand.
It's the control systems; DMX, Spaghetti, etc., I am lost on.

Of course, I can't use and learn about any of them without having a scanner to use them on.
I have a (incomplete, I'm sure) parts list together, and I am just going to have to order it all and "jump" into the build.

Then order some more parts, then order again,.............. Ad infinitum.

Mo' money, mo' money, it just keeps getting worse! / Why didn't anyone tell me lasers were such a curse / Won't be long 'til I'll be in a hearse / At least my wife will have lots in her purse.

I don't have enough time to post nowadays. Hopefully I'll be able to come back fully in March.

I'm surprised, these numbers are alot higher than I'd expect when lately it seems almost every thread is vacant... It's like everyone's waiting for someone to post that next big thing to get us all talking again... Maybe CNI will come on through for us and introduce a line of cheap, stable, beautiful 488nm pointers and portables... Until then, I'm gonna go hide under my dream rock again... Lol.
