If you want any significantly powered laser, I would suggest spending significantly more than $25. But for $25 itself.. This may be a little bit above your budget, but I would recommend it:

$33.80 - SD-301 Focusable 100mW 532nm Green Laser Pen Pointer with Battery Set (1*18650) - Green Lasers

I'm not sure about cheaper, but it seems that anything I have bought, that is under $25, is really the luck of the draw. Some have been low powered.. some nearing 100mw. I've had some luck with this particular laser (but that was quite a while ago; each batch is different) :

Focalprice.com offers 20mW Green Beam Laser Pointer (Silver) ,discount 20mW Green Beam Laser Pointer (Silver),20mW Green Beam Laser Pointer (Silver) products, low price 20mW Green Beam Laser Pointer (Silver),cheap 20mW Green Beam Laser Pointer (Silver

Hard to tell what part of the Solar System you live on
since there is nothing indicated in your Member Profile...

Jerry

Common sence usually tells if a person questions a company's shipping policy towards a particular country, that person is more then likly to be living in that country.

I would consider that, however DX won't ship to America right?

I know I don't care if someone ships to US or not as Im in canada, but to answer Popo's question, no, DX will not ship lasers to US, I belive it says that on the products shipping description

That makes absolutely no sense at all in this thread...
Use the time line above...

It's common sense to assume that the member in posts #2 did NOT
know the OP lived in the USA because he linked to DX that 95% of members
on this Forum already know for over a year that DX does not ship to the
USA...

The second Post clearly shows that the 2nd poster did not know what
part of the Globe the question came from...

My post was to let the OP know that the 2nd poster may have
offered a different Laser Link had he know what part of the Globe
he was on...
The OP was fine with my post and understood...

Then you posted your irrelevant nonsense....

My bad, I forgot that DX doesn't ship to America. Priceangels has many of the same "SDlaser-301" (or 302,303) as DX (or so it appears). I believe that priceangels DOES ship to America.

For a "high powered laser" under $25.00 your best bet would probably to go with a red laser. Depends on what you plan to use it for. If you want low cost + burning capabilities go with a red. If you want high visibility go green. All in all if you want better quality I would say, plan to spend > $25.00. Although there is an occasional gem to be found for < 25.

How much power would a green laser need to be able to see the beam during the day, or at least indoors?

Depends on what kind of beam you're talking about. If you're talking a solid pillar of light, honestly, in a dustless environment even 500mW won't be "like what you see in star wars" or anything.

Visible beam, however? In the right conditions 50mW can be seen indoors in a room that isn't too brightly lit. It really depends on the environment and if you're talking about seeing the beam coming towards you or going away from you.
