I love the C02 DashApple, I have been planning one forever possibly built into a length of PVC with the power pack and cooler unit built into an over the shoulder vest, power front - cooler on back..... what could go wrong HUH, lol.

I have seen 4.5mm beam dia for the 100w but 2.5mm for some of the 40-60w and 18kv at 20ma with 24kv to start, I was thinking I could use a ZVS and flyback with a dc to dc to set it like that Chinese fellow did in another post, but I have been pouring money into another hobby here lately, but I digress, also the size of the tube is such a pita for portability, a new diode would sure be nice, maybe a big one :D I do have to say the beam quality looks good from everything I have seen of C02's

Great video, will have to owe you a + when it will let me.

-----edit-----

Ok I will contribute an old video, this is of one of my NUBM44's with a 6X cyl pair in an extended runtime housing.

-----edit-----

Good point Encap, laser safety is a must with any laser, even a weak laser can damage your eyes forever.

Don't forget to have a look at YouTube also--there are hundreds of videos showing lasers.

Powerful is a relative term---what compared to what, doing what, under what circumstances.

Where lasers get very powerful and dangerous is in abilty to do instant eye damage.
IN less time that the human blink reflex of 0.25 seconds serious permanent occular damage happens.

See: http://laserpointerforums.com/f53/hit-eye-1000mw-445nm-blue-laser-69469.html

Be sure you understand all the safety issues and practices first thing.
