Hey all - torn between these two lasers. Help!

I honestly cannot decide which laser to purchase from Dragonlasers, so I thought I'd come here in an attempt to garner some relevant and justified suggestions. The primary candidates are the ~447nm 1W Spartan (of course), and the (seemingly recent) 532nm 200mW Spartan. There are several excellent reasons for me to want both of them, and thus, I am rendered indecisive. My priorities are (in order of significance):

• Apparent brightness - I wish to have the brightest beam possible (with regards to these two lasers)
• Visual appeal - Essentially how "cool" the beam looks. I favor both for these qualities - green because it's an excellent color, and blue because it's relatively uncommon
• Burning capability - Not as much of a concern, but a nice bonus.

So for the most part, my personal preferences conflict, and naturally I cannot make a good decision. Can anyone give me some solid reasons as to why either is the better of the two? All help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I would suggest you get green one, it will be somewhat safer.. and relatively brighter!!

I just checked the prices at DL/200mW-532nm is almost the exact same prices as the Powerful Crown Upgrade 500mW you might want to take a look!!!

Apparent brightness; might be close but the 532nm might be a tad brighter.

Visual appeal; 445nm wins this hands down because of its rarity from experience.

Burning capability; the 445nm will win that with ease.

The 532nm will likely have better divergence making super long distance pointing better but I am more of a fan of 445nm lasers mainly because of the wow factor since almost nobody has seen a blue laser.

The one thing about those two lasers is the price is pretty steep but I am not a fan of o-like's quality from everything I have seen overall. You may want to give these two places a look(far better pricing IMO) before you make any decisions:

EDIT: looking at your signature I see a history of dead lasers which is even more reason for me to suggest those two other sites instead.

Hey sinner, thanks loads for that o-like link! Such a significant increase in specifications for practically the same price. And (as it says in my sig), I've already got a 200mW 650nm "old style" from them and it functions flawlessly (unlike all of the other lasers I've ever owned xD). ApexProxy... I know, I'm not the best with cheap lasers. I always end up attempting to modify them somehow, and it generally ends poorly. Is lazerer any good? I seem to remember hearing questionable things about them at some point, but perhaps I'm mistaken.

I have heard nothing but great reviews from lazerer lately. I don't own one yet but I do have a laserbtb 300mW 532nm which is amazing.

Whoa, just checked out laserbtb's prices - the 200mW 532nm is $306. That's more expensive the the green dragonlasers Spartan!

I think I'm just going to go with the 1W Spartan, given the color appeal and the fact that I've always wanted a 1W 445. I'll check out some other laserbtb lasers before I purchase it, though. Thanks!
