Hi all,

I've used this forum as a source of information without the need to actually ask in the past but I'm struggling with this one. I'm looking for some help with making an eyesafe laser "fan" which can be used in making a prototype of this:
https://hackaday.io/project/14977-room-based-vr-positioning

Ideally I'd want to re-use these sensor boards which are used in the HTC Vive:
https://www.triadsemi.com/product/ts3633-cm1/
These use the PD70-01C/TR7 photo diode, with a peak sensitivity at 940nm, and bandpass filter the output with the TS3622 to be sensitive to laser modulation between 1.5MHz-5MHz.

This was the idea I had for the laser module layout:

Is this feasible? Could someone help me put together an eye-safe ~940nm modulated laser please?

Thanks in advance,
Lee
