Help With Laser Harp

Me and my friends are trying to make a laser harp... But being from electrical and computers background, we people have no idea about the laser we need. Reading, I found that probably green lasers will be best for us of about a 100mW rating... Plus I think it should be pulsed so that we can control it.

Can anyone help me getting the laser module in as cheap as possible... I mean I can't spend any more than 50$ (tight budget)

However as an alternative solution I can get a hold of scrap DVD writers comparatively cheaply... But that seems to be a long route... Please we are in desperate need of suggestions... Running out of time

I would suggest using the two search functions on the
Forum to get any info about a Laser Harp.
There have been Threads discussing this and IIRC even
a Kit available by one of the Members here.
