Help choose laser show module

Hi guys,

Can you please help me choose the laser light show module?

The problem is, - i'm going to install it on the rooftop, and point it to the sky. (No worries about legal side of the question.)

It will be flashing on special occasions, or/and some weekends to attract people to night club.

I've seen many different modules, but i just can't choose one to match my expectation.

So the question is, What power do i need? I understand that the more money the more visible it is, but i need a laser show module, beam of which would be seen five to ten miles away.

Green or blue LSM(laser show module), or maybe RGB !?

What about origin of product? US, UK, Or China? Can i trust chinise products?

That looks to be somewhere from 3-5w power, possibly more - you DO realize you're talking thousands, if not tens of thousands of dollars, don't you? Talk to LaserWorld AG in Switzerland, their sales line is +49 741/174889-0 or request their price list info@laserworld.com (Obviously, you can also check out their website) ... SZ Shinp used to offer the SL-11 which was 500mW (1/2w) 532 green, but wasn't available in an outdoor enclosure, that was around $1300-ish if I recall but again, wouldn't even come close to the effect you have in the photo.

Laserworld offers the Pro-3000g, 2.5w green dpss 532nm retail 12.755eu or distributor priced at between 6633eu-8291eu depending on quantity (I'm looking at their dealer sheet right now) - they offer a weatherproof enclosure for an additional 140eu, that might just do what you're looking for, otherwise your next step up would be the Pro-500g, 4.5w dpss 532nm for (gulp!) 27929eu retail or 13378eu-15256eu distributor (this is probably closer to the effect in your photo)...

Hong Kong laser Show

While BCM is right, those are most likely multi-watt systems in those pics, you could do what you want to do with about 150-200mW of green depending on ambient lighting. I have a newstarlasers 150mW green lab-style laser that is easily visible for miles even in downtown St. Louis which is where I live.

For 150-200mW you're looking (conservatively) at about $250-500 from China depending on how nice of a setup you want.. You could always get a waterproof project box for the scanner and put a window in it.. If you use some caulk it would stay waterproof even with the window.

Electrofreak has a good point regarding the lower-powered lasers, if you are looking for visible beams - the first photo though, shows a "sky" effect which at 150-300mW would not be too visible from the side, especially outdoors (without hazing, etc our 300mW displays tend to wash out even indoors, when we play larger veunes, halls, etc) ...

somthing to consider as a static effect would be the Shinp DL100 series, cost is well under $700 shipped and the beams, although unmoving, do a really killer "curtain" effect:
