This user is helping me get a 7 watt laser. He introduced me to lasers in general, and showed me a 7 watt laser online. He has helped me get all of the safety equipment and walked me through the safety procedures for handling lasers of this output. He ordered it for me because I am unfamiliar with all the particulars and took delivery at his house. Once he received the laser I told him to try it out to make sure that it worked well, again because this is my first time getting a serious laser (and let's be honest, who wouldn't want to let a friend use it). There was issues with the build quality and the unit stopped working. The issue is not the diode, it has been tested and works. If you looked at the other thread (http://laserpointerforums.com/f44/need-good-builder-fix-7-watt-laser-97506-3.html) you saw the pics of the interior of the unit.

Green Lasers Rock asked me to create an account to prove that he is helping me.

This is serious? Do you expect anyone to believe this? This is going to cause much more problems than solve any.

In the need a good builder to fix 7 watt laser, people accused me of lying to get hold of a laser, and they asked for my friend to make an account to tell his story. Rather than post in that thread which is dead now, I told him to make a new one. Title could be improved though.

I thought VirtueViolater, has put in some time into this laser. I'm thinking you want it fixed for cheaper?

I assure you I am not Green Lasers Rock. He said he was having some problems and that this would help him resolve it. Not really sure how to prove to you we are different people, but this was one of the ways someone asked for.

I'm not really sure what is going on here, but from what I see some are accusing the two accounts GLR and Golden of being the same person?

Someone could ask ColdShadow to check and see if their IP is the same. :p

I feel like an IP address isn't really a good way to identify someone. I could log in from work and it'd be a different IP from at home. Or I could use my mobile hotspot, again, different IP - probably even a completely different location for my cell - likely show up as Edmonton or some such instead of Yellowknife. Can also Tor, Proxy, VPN. Hell - my ISP lets me use two different dynamically assigned public IPs - I could simply set the other one up on my firewall and flip between them whenever I please.

Most ISPs will assign you a different IP as soon as you reboot your modem/router too or at specific intervals according to their DHCP server settings - mine doesn't ... I've had the same one for months... long DHCP leases (probably set to never expire as long as the DHCP client is there), which is nice. No DynDNS - all static! :D

Anyway ... just pointing that out.

I understand that. Is there anything anyone can think of that people would accept? I would be willing to share a small amount of information on me to confirm, not sure about GLR. To be honest, I just want to get a cool working laser.

I should add - I wasn't calling you out when I was rambling on about IP addresses! :p I was just pointing out that IP addresses aren't a reliable means of confirming someones identity.

Perhaps a phone call with one of the vets here or something - it can be hard to verify people online unfortunately. Or buy the laser yourself ... now that you're a member here that should be easier. :D

Your already a member now, weve been told GLR has taught you to the best of his ability, i'm missing what you want. Do you want to go solo now or still deal with GLR?
