Heads Up on PayPal Shipping Labels changes

Just thought I'd pass on a recent unannounced PayPal
change when printing out a PayPal Shipping Label.

I had problems getting labels printed out for my customer's
orders.. All is fine until you hit the Pay button. Then
you get a message that PayPal Shipping Label service
is not available and that I should try later...

After 2 days of this non service message I called PP
and was told that under the Customer's Name and
Address you MUST fill in the customer's Phone Number....
or any Phone Number even my own...

Once I filled in my phone number I was able to pay for
and printout the label.

Gotta admit though... PayPal customer service
for me has been top notch.

I'd be willing to bet that (000)-000-0000 may work in the phone number field.
I use that number for paypal myself and haven't had any issues yet.

I can't complain about the service, as PP has always refunded my money when I have an issue. They do come up with some strange policies when it comes to some of the finer points of using their service, though. They also have offered to allow me to pay for things over time with no interest, but recently I checked out this policy and found that for an item that costs $400.00, they now want $440.00 to pay for it over a 12 month period. That's 10% per year. Not a particularly good rate. You wouldn't know that unless you did the math on the monthly payments. I've never used this feature, but it is misleading.

Thank you for letting us know lasersbee! I've used PP for a couple years now and haven't had any problems with them, but believe me I've heard the horror stories regarding them!
