No wire. Be weary. Heard of them trying to set fire. I have had one with no problems, I just make sure not to leave it alone. Nitecore seems to be the choice charger, but ebay ones will charge them. I got a trustfire charger from amazon. Not the best but I like it.

Looking good. Just make sure 18350 fit. They are fatter then 16340. Does the laser call for 18350? Which laser?

In the description for the SF501B it says it can take 2 16340 or 2 18350. I would prefer to use the 18350s because they come in higher capacities.

I actually signed up to receive an e-mail notification when they're available again. :)

Gonna try and get one as soon as they're available again.

Good move. You will be very happy with 1w 445.

Your first high power!

Now to memorize your loved ones faces. Lol
Only kidding.... Be careful.

Good thinking. I should make sure to hide it when not in use so pesky brothers can't get it and burn their faces off.

Batteries in separate place. Even if they do get ahold of it they will probably reverse the polarity and break it :( definitely something to keep close tabs on.

I fried a 1600mw custom by putting the batteries in wrong while it was dark. That was a costly mistake. Now I'm super sure about my polarity.

Hmm I wonder what the range is for a 1 Watt 445 laser...?

Gotta be at least 1 Km right? Probably more..

They said a 1w 445 was viewed from the space station.
The divergence at long distance will be poor. Not like a 532. But if focused with a three elements lens, the "dot" will be cleaner with better divergence. The g2 lens makes a messy "dot", but it will increase the power by 25-30 %

Even with its divergence the 445 still travel far, but their purpose is mid range

The 1 Watt SF501B has a 3 element glass lens so thats a plus then. :3

The space station? Really? I knew the 1 Watt of 532 could hit space but I didn't know 445 could.

Should be fun over the holidays. My grandmother lives in a small town thats across a river from a large city I was going to see if the laser could reach across the river which is about 1-2 Km wide. Don't worry though, the building I'll aim at is just a communications tower. All concrete and no windows or human occupancy so nobody will get hit.

The green you have would have a better dot at that distance. The real fun with the 445 will be having a 10 mile long light saber at night. Nice thick beam. Beautiful color. Save the 532 for distance, and the 445 for midrange and burning and star pointing. That's the wavelength strong points. The 532 will be more of a target hitting laser because the spot is so nice and clean.

The 445 is going to throw you off because of its rectangular spot and the dot will be huge as the long distance. When you receive it you will see what I mean about it being a midrange laser. But because of it extreme power at that range, it's one of the most popular wavelength being built simply for how impressive all that power is.
