Depends on the power. Given the size of the dot and the time it was on his eyes it's definitely possible.

Before you know it they'll be searching at stadiums as people enter for weapons & lasers of any type! If they keep this up idiots like this one are going to make it so we wont even be able to carry a laser pointer in our pockets anymore anywhere. :twak:

Sickens me to see news reports like this, It shows some people aren't even mature enough to have even a laser pointer in their position. Don't know if anyone else will feel the same but this also reminded me of a video which was shared awhile back about some kid who was shinning a laser in Turkey during a soccer match I believe and was caught by security.

yeah but 'they' kinda take it very seriously--- IIRC a few years back a player got face scanned while taking a pentality kick- and in short order they were banned from the entire country Bolivia or someplace-- not sure if it was the goalie or the guy taking the free kick- more likely effective if it was the goalie. - I didi noit see this only read about it.

I saw two in the stands before the start of the hockey game (STANLEY CUP) so i watched as well as i could to see if they were used again- but you dont see everything on TV - I would hope that security paid these two a short visit before the game started- -

a permanent injury-?- zero to none- too far away- to short of exposure even if it were a 1W 532-- & they would need to be hitting from a direct ino the eye angle -
not to take light of this- I hope somebody handed him his ass.

I can only imagine the inconvenience of having to search everyone for not only weapons but stupid folk with lasers....

No actually from that distance - not really possible to be much more than temp flash blindness-

No need to search those coming in- just watch for the asshats- and send secruity to show them the door-take their laser away.

NOW if the laser was not green or blue YES it would be very hard to find them-

If a 1W 405 can burn a hole in a CD case at 90 feet-- very bad for the eyes-
Check out the YTUBE video tutorials on laser safety- I just happened to be reading a bunch last night and my opinion of this is backed up by the experts-

one would need to have a death wish to use a laser at a 'futbol' match-
